ALS, 1890 April 24 : Washington, to Madame Nicolini (Adelina Patti).

JCF thanks the famous opera singer for her note of congratulations (on receiving an Army pension). He recalls "that meeting with you in London as one of the agreeable events of my life ..." and recounts following her career with interest. The coloratura soprano was known as Adelina Patti.
